Meal Plan Monday #5 & My 600th POST!!

This is going to be a very busy and slightly crazy week for the Bookworm family because we're not celebrating just one but TWO birthdays (two days apart no less!).  Cub turned 12 years old today (how did that happen when it feels like he was a chunky little toddler just a couple of years ago??) and I'm turning "one year better" on Wednesday. :)

I even got a birthday gift early (I accidentally -- really, it was an accident -- found the receipt for my gift)!  It's a new camera thanks to my parents, my sister and Brad and the kids.  It's 'epic' (as Karate Guy would say) and I can't wait to take a course to learn how to use all of it's bells and whistles.  Here's hoping I can take some great food shots (and pics of my kids). :)

Here's what I have planned to make for suppers this week.  I'm having a really hard time thinking of a meal to make on my birthday.  I'm thinking something with bacon, or goat cheese, or root veggies ...  I have no idea and I'm up for anything frankly.  Maybe even a 'breakfast for supper' kind of deal.   It's my day off so I have more prep time but it's also my birthday so I want to take it easy and bask in the wonder that is ME!  Any ideas??

Dijon Lime Oven Roasted Potatoes (NEW RECIPE)

  1. Happy 600th post WOW! And Happy One Year Better (that's a good one btw ;-) LOL)! I vote for making the Bookworm family take you out for a nice dinner so that you can avoid all the prep and clean up. That will give you much more time to bask!

  4. Thanks so much for all of the birthday wishes and congrats on my blog longevity! :)

I'm really hoping I get better with age. You know like a fine wine, not a stinky cheese. ;)

As for going out for supper? Well, my parents are taking me out for lunch so maybe I can finagle a supper out too from Brad and the kids. Ahhh, feels good to be spoiled. :)
