This dessert is a favourite of mine and "Monkey's". He loves it so much he now offers to help me out to ensure that I'll make it! Mmmm. Needless to say, leftovers are coveted!
We love it made with MacIntosh apples. You can easily double or triple this recipe if needed. Serve it warm with vanilla ice cream.

Do the apples need to be skinned?
ReplyDeleteYup. I do anyway. I'll add that step to the recipe. :)
ReplyDeleteYummy! Thanks for sharing this easy to do recipe. I just tried it last weekend and my kids loved it while watching our favorite TV program. I served it with double dutch, their favorite ice cream, and it's a blockbuster.
ReplyDeleteNJenn, glad you and your kids loved this dessert. It's one of my comfort foods. Paired with ham, scalloped potatoes and baked beans ... mmmmm.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Double Dutch ice cream. What's in it?
