Yearbook is the hilarious and charming memoir from actor and funny man Seth Rogen. With his self-deprecating Canadian humour, this collection of short essays on a variety of topics is genuine, refreshing, outrageous and down-to-earth. 

He is a great storyteller as he shares his observations and experiences with family, fame and more than a little drug use. Rogen talks about his youth growing up here in Canada, his hilarious experiences at Jewish summer camp, his love life, his foray into stand-up comedy as a teenager ... and his love of weed. He had me laughing out loud in several spots - many of these LOL moments occurred in the first half of the book.

I always love when an actor narrates their memoir and Rogen does an amazing job. He narrates the bulk of the book, but other voices are scattered here and there (including Dan Ackroyd, Sacha Baron Cohen, Simon Helberg, Tommy Chong and Jason Segel). I also enjoyed the addition of background sounds that helped put the listener within the setting of his stories.

The only warning I'll give is that you may start hearing his signature 'heh heh' laugh in your head long after you've listened to this audiobook. 'Highly' recommended.

Yearbook is a collection of true stories that I desperately hope are just funny at worst, and life-changingly amazing at best. (I understand that it's likely the former, which is a fancy "book" way of saying "the first one.")

I talk about my grandparents, doing stand-up comedy as a teenager, bar mitzvahs, and Jewish summer camp, and tell way more stories about doing drugs than my mother would like. I also talk about some of my adventures in Los Angeles, and surely say things about other famous people that will create a wildly awkward conversation for me at a party one day.

I hope you enjoy the book should you buy it, and if you don’t enjoy it, I’m sorry. If you ever see me on the street and explain the situation, I’ll do my best to make it up to you!
