Look no further if you're in the mood for a quick, easy and funny read. This is it!
Synopsis: Psychologist Christina McMullen has a lot on her plate. She is never in need of new clients (L.A is filled with crazies!), her on-again-off-again relationship with LAPD lieutenant Jack Rivera has just started sizzlin' again, and now Rivera's womanizing dad has come asking her to investigate a mysterious death that might haunt his next political campaign. Soon Chrissy is investigating an 'accidental' death - until she stumbles on a trail of bodies littering Senator Rivera's political career. As she untangles the mess and lies, Chrissy believes that she's found the secret to a serial killer's underground campaign. The killer has a list, a motive, and the perfect disguise - the only question is: who's next?
My thoughts: After reading quite a few chick lit/mysteries lately I had gotten almost fed up with the whole genre. Either they were corny or totally ripping off Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum character (I'm shocked that Evanovich hasn't sued an author or three for copyright infringement. By I digress...). I was happily surprised to find that this book falls into neither of those categories. Author Lois Greiman has written a great mystery with even better witty banter between Chrissy and the secondary characters. I actually chuckled out loud several times (much to the confusion of my hubby).
Rating: 4.5/5 (aka. Awesome Read!)
