This was a fun, fluffy and escapist romance that uses the opposites attract and friends to lovers tropes. Hazel and Josh first meet in college with a decidedly memorable, but utterly embarrassing first encounter. Ten years later, they meet up again and find that their drastically different personalities (Josh is straight-laced while Hazel is a bit of a mess and unapologetically herself) make for a great friendship. They decide to help the other find love by going on a series of funny, but disastrous blind double dates.
This was a predictable and light read but beefs, I have a few. The last third lagged quite a bit with Josh and Hazel's denial dragging out too long and the addition of another trope changes things up, but it's not my favourite trope and the ending was a bit of a letdown.
Ok, back to the positives - Christina Lauren gives readers enjoyable humorous bits, a beautiful bond between Josh and Hazel and a saucy side of spice. And I give the highest of fives to the authors for creating Hazel as an eccentric but self-assured young woman who was completely at home in her own quirkiness.
Narration: Overall, the narrators were okay, but I found Todd Habekorn's narration of Hazel's chapters to be cringey and I recommend he stick to narrating male voices. In this instance, I think I would have enjoyed the print format more than the audiobook format.

Book Description from GoodReads: The New York Times bestselling “romance It Girls” (Kirkus) bring you a hilarious, sexy romance about love perpetually unrequited (and denied), in the vein of their Roomies and Beautiful Bastard.
Foul-mouthed, quirky, sharp-as-a-whip Hazel never thought she would win the heart of her gorgeous college TA, Josh. And, in fact, she didn’t. But what a difference ten years can make. Well...ten years, and a lot of legwork
