The Honeymoon Crashers

The Unhoneymooners remains one of my all-time favourite RomComs which I have read and listened to multiple times. I was a bit trepidatious about picking up this sequel, worried it wouldn't match my high expectations.

Ok, so this novella didn't quite meet my expectations, but it was an enjoyable and brief listen that benefits from a full cast and background sounds that put listeners right in the middle of the wedding drama. 

Did this novella have the humour, heart and depth of The Unhoneymooners? Ummm, not quite. It has good heart but lacked the humour I adored in the first book. There is a nod to deeper elements, but I realize one can only do so much in a 5-hour novella. What I loved most was diving back into Ami and Olive's family and I hope that cousin Diego gets his own book in the near future.
