I liked getting to know Drew better in this book - he was a secondary character in the first book - The Off Limits Rule - and I liked seeing how he cared for his patients as an OB/GYN doctor. My beef is with Jessie's character. She's a strong, independent woman and yet she is portrayed as a whiny, vindictive person who pranks Drew in embarrassing and mean ways that just felt icky.
The chemistry between Drew and Jessie is forced on the reader instead of allowing us to see it grow naturally and when you take out the animosity and malicious pranking there's not much of a story line.
This should have been a DNF for me. Despite this not being a win for me, I still strongly recommend Sarah's When in Rome series which has more heart, humour and couples that you'll go all swoony over.

Book Description from GoodReads: Drew Marshall may have let me move into his spare bedroom while my house is being renovated, but don’t think for one second his kindness comes without strings - big, ugly fake-relationship strings.
That’s okay, though, Dr. Andrew. I’ll agree to your terms, move into your house, and act like your girlfriend when the big day comes, but I also plan to make your life miserable - make you pay for what you did to me.
I may not be good at forgiving or forgetting, but I’m excellent at getting even.
Get ready to laugh until you cry with this sizzling, hilarious, closed-door romantic comedy!
