Cooking Up Murder

This is a very light, easy mystery by Miranda Bliss. It's the first book in "The Cooking Class Mystery" series.

Synopsis: Eve and Annie have been friends since childhood. Since Annie is horribly inept in the kitchen Eve signs them both up for a cooking class at a local gourmet shop. During their first class they see a fellow student in a heated argument with a man --- who later turns up dead. The two friends decide to solve the mystery -- didn't see that coming did you? ;)

I enjoyed the main characters, Annie and Eve and loved the fact that you learn some cooking terms while you're reading. Plus there are several recipes in the back of the book. The writing is good and there's no corny, embarassing romance going on either.

Rating: 3.5/5 (aka. a good read)
