Blood Brothers

Title: "Blood Brothers" (first book in the "Sign of 7" trilogy)

Author: Nora Roberts

Type: Supernatural

Book Type: Paperback

Synopsis: In the small village of Hawkins Hollow, three best friends (who happen to share the same birthday) sneak off into the woods one night for some fun. Instead of fun, one of the 'blood brothers' unleashes an old curse upon the small town.

Twenty-one years later those boys have witnessed odd, scary and unexplained things happening in their town ... which only happen every 7 years. A scholar comes to town to study the phenomenon and finds that the odd things are happening earlier this time around.

My thoughts: Except for this book, I have never read (to my knowledge) a book by Nora Roberts. After looking into this author more it seems that she pops out more books than the Duggar family has babies in any given year - which may explain why the quality just isn't there.

For me, this book wasn't worth the read. Started off pretty good but half way through it got really slow. I d000idn't love the characters either, which didn't help matters. Kelley Armstrong's supernatural novels are MUCH better. The ending of "Blood Brothers" was pathetic and didn't wrap up anything. No big finish. Not planning on reading the other two future books in this trilogy.

My Rating: 2/5 (aka aweful read)
