This was a great book that I read on my recent vacation. I wanted a good poolside suspense story - something fast-paced with short chapters and good tension and this book fit the bill!
James Patterson pops out more books than a Pez dispenser, but like the wee candies, these books are quick, easy and enjoyable. With its strong female cast, solid suspense and easy-reading vibe, The Women's Murder Club will be a series that I will pick away at in between other books. With 24 current books in the series, I have a lot to catch up on.
This second book was stronger than 1st To Die in my opinion. We still get some personal development of the four female main characters in this second installment, but it felt like we jumped right into the suspense!! Readers will have to suspend some disbelief in a few situations and Patterson/Gross don't write women's voices exceptionally well, but if you can get over those issues, this is a well-plotted, tension-filled cat-and-mouse story with loads of twists and red herrings that will keep you riveted as Boxer and her crew try to capture a ruthless serial killer.
